Boat Rental/Fishing
Rent a ski boat, pontoon and other personal watercrafts at one of the local marinas. Go fishing right out your front door on Crystal Lake, or go fishing off of the Frankfort Pier, or rent a charter fishing boat out on Lake Michigan.

Hiking/Walking
Do the dune climb at Aligator Hill in the Sleeping Bear Dunes, take a sunset walk on the Frankfort pier, or walk out your front door and find out where the Betsie Valley Trail leads.

Wine Tasting
Make your way up to the Leelanau Peninsula to find cherry orchards and vineyards intermixed with the sand dunes. Make it a day trip and visit some of the counties finest vineyards.

Ciccone Vineyards has a private tasting, and is held daily from April to November, noon to 6 p.m., with reduced hours in the winter.

Willow Vineyard's tasting room is open Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 6 p.m., May through October, and by appointment.

Shady Lane is open daily from May to October, noon to 6 p.m.; only Saturdays the rest of the year.

The Frankfort Pier and Lighthouse are a must see, and the beach is great for swimming on hot summer days. Frankfort is about a 10 minute drive from the cottage.
- Elberta Beach

Located off of M-22, north of Downtown Frankfort. About a 15-20 minute drive from the cottage.
- Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes
Take a beautiful drive on Pierce Stocking Drive.
